Bey v. PETA

Beyonce has taken another breath.  Somebody queue the outrage.

I shouldn't be so snarky.  However, Beyonce has commissioned designers at the custom shoe company, Perfectly Made Kicks, to design a sneaker for her made of animal skins.  And, as expected, the folks at PETA have pounced (probably, not the right expression here) on her for the move.  "She can always choose the cruelty-free and green fashion favored by compassionate, chic celebrities such as Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway and designers such as award-winning fashion queen Stella McCartney," says an official of the animal rights group.

That's true.  Beyonce could use an animal-free alternative, and probably should.  But, the larger question is, when did become Natalie Portman chic?  I love her to pieces, and think she is a talented actress and most intelligent and charming, but anyone involved in "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium" is on chic probation.  That includes you too, Dustin.
