Love Actually 2! Bring on the Sequal!

It's official. Love Actually will be all around us...again. This week, Universal Studios president, Richard Cunningham, said that he was urging Director, Richard Curtis to write a sequel to the 2003 romantic comedy. "I think there should be a Love Actually 2. I'd give it a green light," Cunningham said.

This is big news for us fans of rom coms, and especially good news for those of us who adored the movie's heart-warming, interconnected stories about love. I look forward to a Love Actually 2, after the studio executives work the details out with the creative types attached to the movie. But, before Cunningham greenlights anything, and before Curtis writes a witty, charming line for Hugh Grant, I have a suggestion:

All Love Actually faithful fans remember the line in the story (we remember all the lines), where Hugh Grant, the prime minister of Great Brittan, asks a staffer if an assistant, played by Martine McCutcheon, was fat. Hugh's staffer, a slim, beautiful woman, replies, "Yes, there's a rather sizable ass there..."

It was one of the many funny, magical moments of the movie. But my suggestion for the sequal, is that her curvy figure is treated as an asset rather than a liability. I mean it was hot enough to pull Hugh in.

It would be a nice touch because McCutcheon, who has lived all of her adult live between size 12 and 16. And she has always looked fabulous on and off screen. Playing up her curves would serve as a great source of inspiration for real women with real curves.
